Folks’s March brings tons of to Heart Metropolis forward of second Trump presidency

Practically a thousand Philadelphians and others close by gathered in Heart Metropolis as a part of a nationwide Folks’s March to specific their concern with the insurance policies they’re anticipating from President-elect Donald Trump.

The  Folks’s Marchers paraded from Metropolis Corridor down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway,  calling for the safety of reproductive rights and the LGBTQ+ group, immigration reform, and different causes.

The Folks’s March was born from the Ladies’s March, a motion that started in response to  Trump successful his first time period in 2016, which adopted a marketing campaign based mostly on anti-abortion insurance policies and fiery rhetoric. 

The Philly Folks’s March attendees different in age, from infants to older adults, and background, from union staff to metropolis politicians, like Councilmember Jamie Gauthier, who spoke in the beginning of the occasion.
