Native meals financial institution considers choices after federal cuts

The Philly area’s largest starvation aid group might be going through main challenges following current U.S. Division of Agriculture funding cuts. 

The Share Meals Program supplies assist to many individuals within the Philadelphia space, government director George Matysik mentioned. 

“We’re a meals financial institution serving the five-county space, so Philadelphia and the 4 collar counties, and our group serves tons of of 1000’s of people per week,” Matysik mentioned. “This contains about 300,000 children per day that we work with by the Nationwide College Lunch Program.
