Philly worlds will collide in ‘It’s All the time Sunny’ and ‘Abbott Elementary’ crossover episodes

-

This Wednesday, two of Philly’s most outstanding representations on TV will merge within the first crossover episode of “Abbott Elementary” and “It’s All the time Sunny in Philadelphia,” because the narcissistic chaos of a bunch of South Philly pub staff collides into the making-something-out-nothing optimism of an underfunded West Philly public faculty.

Philly locals and present creators Quinta Brunson and Rob McElhenney have mentioned the processes and challenges of blending the PG-rated water and the R-rated oil which are their respective Disney-owned reveals, and the way that can play out with one storyline informed from two views: the ABC-primetime mockumentary “Abbott” perspective this week, then the age-gated raunchier “Sunny” viewpoint on FXX in a couple of months.

“Our largest concern is that folks will watch ‘Abbott’ and suppose, ‘Oh, we like these characters. We like this episode. Let’s go try the opposite present with the entire household.’ And we’re going to warning individuals towards that,” McElhenney informed Rolling Stone.

Some time again, we requested synthetic intelligence to give you some plotlines and the end result was a reasonably boilerplate — presumably milksteak — set of plotlines.
